I have worked in the general education and special education classroom with students who have Autism. When working with students who have Autism, it's important to look at the whole child- considering environmental, social and transitional factors when providing interventions to help develop needed skills. Motivation is critical for kids with ADHD. I have experience working with students who have have a hard time completing tasks, such as homework and chores. My focus with these students is to create a plan or system that focus on that student- what works for some kids doesn’t always work for others. I can help parents and students with strategies to be more successful in classwork as well as study skills. I am currently a teacher in the resource setting who takes the initiative and problem-solving with students, teacher, and parents to best meet academics and social challenges.
